The Columbia University Scholarship for Displaced Students provides foreign national students who are currently living as refugees or asylum-seekers in the United States with the opportunity to study at the undergraduate and graduate level at Columbia University. The scholarship provides full-tuition, plus housing and living expenses, for the number of terms necessary to complete the student’s degree.

This scholarship program is for foreign nationals with refugee status or who have received US asylum or submitted a US asylum application, or are in the United States under Temporary Protected Status.
How to Apply
Applicants must apply to and be accepted to one of the degree programs listed under the link above. Each school and program maintains its own acceptance requirements and specific application deadlines. Acceptance to an academic program does not guarantee funding, through the scholarship or otherwise (students may be accepted to an academic program but not receive funding through the Scholarship). Dual degrees are not eligible for the scholarship program. Degree program application fees can be waived in extraordinary cases by e-mailing [email protected] at least two weeks before you plan to submit your application.
