The Centenary Masters Scholarship, provided by the Institute of Education (IOE) at University College London (UCL), supports students who want to undertake a full-time taught master’s degree programme at the institute, which is UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society. This one-year scholarship is open to citizens of from countries classified by the World Bank as low or lower-middle income. In the Arab region, eligible countries include Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, and Yemen.

The scholarship covers tuition fees and accommodation in a single room (shared bathroom) at International Students House. Candidates must first receive an offer to study a full-time taught master’s degree in education fields at UCL. Please note that these scholarships do not cover living expenses in London, transport fees, or any other incidental charges.

Scholarships are awarded based on the awardees’ satisfactory performance and are valid for one academic year.

This scholarship is offered in collaboration with International Students House (ISH) as the IOE – International Students House and the Mary Trevelyan Centenary Scholarship (named after the founder of ISH).

Eligibility

Candidates must:

  • Be domiciled in an eligible low or lower-middle income country.
  • Have an unconditional offer to study a full-time master’s degree at IOE (letter issued by UCL Admissions).
  •  Not have studied or lived in the United Kingdom before.
