Effat University

Effat University is strengthened by the legacy of its founder, Queen Effat Al- Thunayyan Al-Saud, wife of the late King Faisal Bin AbdulAziz (May God rest their souls), in 1999 offering its academic programs in 1999/2000 under the name. The inauguration of its four colleges, the establishment of the Research and Consultancy Institute in addition to the success achieved on the academic, education and social levels, paved the way to becoming a university as per the Royal Decree on January 30, 2009. Effat University’s mission for education, research, community service and outreach is to fulfill the living legacy of Queen Effat’s vision for education, exemplifying the spirit of Islam in its quest for knowledge, enlightenment and truth, to be committed to constructive engagement with the whole of human culture. The aim of Effat University is to educate tomorrow’s generation to become leaders at an international standard.
