The Sheila Sherlock Postgraduate Fellowship, offered by the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), serves to meet research and study needs for advanced students. The two-year, full-time fellowship is named in honor of Professor Dame Sheila Sherlock, who was a main driver in the field of hepatology in a career spanning 60 years.
This competitive postdoctoral research fellowship program targets the most promising newly qualified postgraduate researchers who wish to expand their research field and develop independent research careers. The program is open to Europeans and non-Europeans who wish to conduct postgraduate research at a European center. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. degree and have no more than two years of postgraduate research experience.
