Description
The Schwarzman Scholars program offers international students the chance to acquire a Master’s Degree in Global Affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing. The program covers tuition and other expenses, including room and board, travel to and from Beijing, books and supplies, a laptop computer, health insurance, and a personal stipend.
The Schwarzman Scholars program is the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. Whether in politics, business or science, the success of future leaders around the world will depend upon an understanding of China’s role in global trends.
The Schwarzman Scholars program is open to citizens from any country. The application timeline differs between U.S./Global applicants and passport or permanent resident card holders from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.
Eligibility
Candidates must:
– Hold an undergraduate degree or first degree from an accredited college or university.
– Be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.
– Demonstrate strong English-language proficiency:
TOEFL iBT: minimum score 100
TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition: minimum score 100
TOEFL PBT: minimum score 600
IELTS Academic: minimum score 7
IELTS Indicator: minimum score 7
