The IsDB-France Scholarship Program is co-funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The purpose of the program is to enable students from Islamic Development Bank member countries who demonstrate an excellent academic level to pursue their higher education in France. It is aimed at students registered in a third-year undergraduate program or a master’s degree program in a French higher education institution for the start of the 2020 academic year. These scholarships are managed by Campus France.

Students from the following Arab countries can apply for this scholarship: Algeria, 

Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Tunisia.

Fields of study covered:

Undergraduate level:

Life and health sciences, environmental studies, education, engineering, agriculture, computers and information technology, basic sciences, economics, finance and banking, social sciences.

Master’s level:

Sustainable agriculture, education, education for sustainable development, climate change, energy, sustainable cities, responsible growth, waste management, population growth, green chemistry, biodiversity, pollution by plastics and microplastics, water and hygiene, health, ICT for development, innovation and infrastructure development, Islamic economics, development-related social sciences.

The Scholarship covers:

– French government grant holder status: visa free, exemption from university registration fees, housing assistance, medical cover, cultural activities, etc.

– A monthly allowance of 700 euros (approximately $790).

– One economy-class plane ticket.

Deadline: June 30, 2020


Applicants must:

– Be enrolled in their third year of an undergraduate program or in a graduate program in France. 

– Be from one of the eligible countries and demonstrate excellent academic merit.
