The University of Copenhagen (UCPH) offers a limited number of tuition waivers and grants through the Danish Government Scholarships programme for master’s degree study at the university. The scholarships are competitive and offered to highly talented students with outstanding academic records from outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland.
The Danish Government Scholarship is granted either as a full or partial tuition fee waiver, and in some cases includes an amount that covers basic living costs. All applicants from non-EU/EEA countries or Switzerland who are offered admission will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
A complete list of master’s degree programmes (taught in English) at the University of Copenhagen is available here. For most programmes, study starts in September. A few programmes also have February intakes, but the scholarship is available only for study starting in September.
The university awards the scholarships solely on the basis of academic achievement; financial need is not considered.
