The Lincoln University International Pathway Merit scholarship provides tuition assistance to academically proven international students who are entering a pre-bachelor’s degree certificate or diploma programme at Lincoln University, in New Zealand, and who have not previously studied at the university.

The scholarship is valued at $2,500 (New Zealand dollars) and is payable as a credit to the recipient’s tuition fees account upon confirmed enrolment in one of the following qualifications: a one-semester Certificate in University Studies, or the Diploma in University Studies, which has two-semester and three-semester tracks.

Students eligible for this scholarship may commence their studies in the Summer School Semester (starting in November), Semester 1 (starting in February), or Semester 2 (starting in July).

The Scholarships Committee will select award holders based on academic merit. Please see the Conditions of Award for full selection criteria.

Lincoln University is a specialized institution offering academic programmes in land-based disciplines, such as agribusiness and food marketing, environment and society, landscape architecture, and sports and recreation management, among others.

Deadline

31 October for those commencing studies in November; 31 January for those commencing studies in February; and 30 June for those commencing studies in July.

Duration

One academic semester.

Eligibility

Candidates must:

  • Be an international student who has not previously studied in an academic programme at Lincoln University.
  • Meet the academic and English-language requirements for admission to their chosen programme at Lincoln University as specified in Regulation 2.
  • Meet all necessary immigration requirements to study in New Zealand.
  • Not hold any other scholarship.
