Al Ghurair Foundation – MITx MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy
Type: Master’s Degree, Seminars and Workshops
Who: Arab learners under the age of 30 who are high-achieving and have financial need who are interested in building a full set of tools and skills required for data analysis in the social sciences; understanding the problems facing world’s poor; and learning how to design and evaluate social policies that strive to solve them.
What: MITx MicroMasters credential online, equivalent to approximately one+ semester at MIT. Full reimbursement of the total cost of the DEDP MicroMasters program after successfully completing the program (consisting of five courses & in person exams) within 2 years. For a select number of academically exceptional Arab students with a background in and a commitment to this field who can demonstrate financial need, we offer: (1) Scholarship for the DEDP MicroMasters program (to be completed within 2 years), & (2) eligibility to receive full scholarship to complete the Master’s on campus at MIT.
