Project Coordinator & Researcher (Part-time Temporary (18 months))

We are seeking a creative, exceptionally organized, research-oriented coordinator to manage a project to improve and expand our popular scholarships resource. This is an 18-month, 20-hour-per-week position.

Our current scholarship resource is the most popular feature on our site, receiving hundreds of visits each day from students around the Arab region. With project funding, we are now expanding this resource to better serve and engage students.

Working with our editor and audience development staff, the coordinator / researcher position is responsible for overseeing and executing key aspects of the project, including reviewing user feedback, surveying scholarship providers, assessing design and functionality needs, developing and implementing a new design to improve functionality and a refreshed content plan (including collecting and maintaining scholarship information from a wide range of providers), and developing a robust outreach plan. The newly updated resource is expected to launch six months into the project period. For the remaining 12 months, the coordinator / researcher will be responsible for overseeing phased-in activities and refinement, including ongoing outreach to students and scholarship providers; regularly updating scholarships listings; posting articles and other targeted content; conducting surveys to assess user interest and satisfaction; and developing sustainability plans.

Requirements: Fully bilingual in English and Arabic. Strong writing, organizational, and research skills; attention to detail; a creative approach to communicating on social media, especially with youth. Experience working with or strong familiarity with scholarships and scholarship providers. Interest in education and the Middle East a plus.
