LONDON–Al-Fanar Media has teamed up with Podium.me to bring you The Anglo-Arab Voice, a series of podcasts delving into the world of what it means to be a British-Arab living in the United Kingdom.
For the series, student journalists who live and study in the U.K. interviewed various personalities, from a cardiologist to a classical music duo. The interviewers questioned their guests about their work, their life as Arabs, and how they can influence the next generation of the Arab diaspora. Listening to this podcast series will take you into the heart of what Arab culture and heritage can do personally and professionally to enhance everyday life in Britain.
The publication of this podcast series was supported by a grant from the NewsSpectrum fellowship programme.
The Anglo-Arab Voice is produced by Camilla Byk of Podium.me and Petra Ayar Jahchan of Al-Fanar Media.
The first episode of The Anglo-Arab Voice aired on March 5. The podcast will bring you three episodes every week throughout March 2022.
Al-Fanar Media is a project of The Alexandria Trust, a U.K.-based charity founded by Egyptian businessman and philanthropist Salah Khalil. The Trust was formed in response to the unprecedented opportunities that now exist to improve life chances across the Arab world and facilitate the development of a new generation of citizens across the region equipped to become active members of their societies.
